Data & Portfolio Analysis Summer Intern

Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Data & Portfolio Analysis Intern to join our asset management and underwriting team. You’ll gain hands-on experience analyzing real estate-backed loans, understanding investment risk, and tracking loan portfolio performance. This role is perfect for students interested in finance, data analytics, or real estate investing who want exposure to credit analysis and operational performance metrics in a fast-paced lending environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in tracking the performance of the active loan portfolio, including monitoring repayments, maturities, and loan extensions

• Build and maintain Excel models to calculate loan-to-value (LTV), after-repair value (ARV), debt service coverage ratios (DSCR), and other key underwriting metrics

• Compile and visualize data for internal reporting dashboards (e.g., delinquencies, average loan duration, geographic distribution of loans)

• Support the team in creating credit memos and risk summaries for internal review

• Analyze borrower performance across completed deals to identify common success or risk factors

• Perform ad hoc data research on property values, market trends, and comparable sales

• Contribute to the development of predictive models for borrower behavior and default likelihood

Qualifications:
